Hunt was awesome and Mike was an awesome guide. Was in 1ID out of Fort Riley for 6 years and have multiple deployments this whole experience was relaxing and therapeutic. Would recommend for any service member looking for a release.

For a veteran trying to escape the realities and struggles life throws at me, I couldn’t have asked for a better therapy session doing something I love as much as this. Mike and Tammy took me out this morning with their 2 beautiful dogs for an unparalleled bird huntin experience. I’ve been out before where the dogs wouldn’t work and the guides seem to only be there to get a paycheck; this couldn’t be farther from what happened today. The dogs wouldn’t quit running, responded flawlessly to Mike and Tammy, and we’re on point flushing birds nonstop. Mike and Tammy were both just as excited as I was the entire time and worked just as hard as the dogs to ensure a successful and memorable hunt. They have a customer and a friend for life and are highly recommended for any special occasion or just to go out for some fun. Book a hunt and Leave worry behind with these guys! Thanks again for an experience I’ll never forget!

About us

Project Upland Therapy is a program designed to bring the traditions of upland hunting and the joys of bird dogs to a theraputic level.

The goal of Project Upland Therapy is to provide an escape from both physical and psychological disabilities for service members,  young people and teens while enjoying the outdoors, the upland tradition, and fine dogs.

We will be providing camps, clinics, fly fishing adventures and upland hunting adventures which allow  participants to escape from the trials of life and delve into new horizons all at no cost to them.

Studies have shown that outdoors activities and canine related therapy increase coping skills, aid in recovery and decrease relapse.

Its our goal to train mentors from these programs so that through helping others they can also help themselves.
