Project Upland Therapy is a program designed to bring the traditions of upland hunting and the joys of bird dogs to a theraputic level.
The goal of Project Upland Therapy is to provide an escape from both physical and psychological disabilities for service members, young people and teens while enjoying the outdoors, the upland tradition, and fine dogs.
We will be providing camps, clinics, fly fishing adventures and upland hunting adventures which allow participants to escape from the trials of life and delve into new horizons all at no cost to them.
Studies have shown that outdoors activities and canine related therapy increase coping skills, aid in recovery and decrease relapse.
Its our goal to train mentors from these programs so that through helping others they can also help themselves.
